I’m back again tonight to celebrate this Mass, which is the First Mass of your Novena of Masses, which will culminate in your Parish Fiesta on the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity.

We have this beautiful line that Jesus finishes with, in the Gospel this morning, “I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have overcome the world” or “I have conquered the world.”

Our Lady takes care of those who are abandoned. When all of us, any of us, feel abandoned, and we feel attacked by the serpent… (Who is a serpent? The devil, and he's attacking us, destroying us, making life difficult for us.) We need to take refuge in Our Lady, because she is the one who strikes and crushes his head.

On June 18, 2021, I was tasked for the first time to transcribe the message of Archbishop Brown during Cardinal Advincula’s installation as the new Archbishop of Manila.

Five years ago, on September 28, 2020, the Holy Father, Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Charles John Brown, Titular Archbishop of Aquileia, the then Apostolic Nuncio to Albania, as the new Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines.
