The National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the National Shrine of St Jude Thaddeus, and the Sta Maria Goretti Parish Church are all closing for a few days to disinfect their premises following reports of infections of Covid-19. Quiapo Church also closes for 3 days to disinfect in preparation for Feast of the Black Nazarene.
National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe
The National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe announced today on its Facebook page that it will be closed from January 4 to January 17, 2022 to disinfect the premises after one of their priests tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
Online masses, however, will continue as scheduled.
National Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus
The National Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus in the Malacañang compound will also be closed until January 14. This is following a positive result after Covid testing of one of their priests and three staff members.
Sta. Maria Goretti Parish
The Sta. Maria Goretti Parish Church in Paco will be closed to the public until January 15. Fr David Concepcion, parish priest, made the announcement after two staff of the parish contracted Covid-19. Online masses will continue.
Quiapo Church
Quiapo Church also announced that it would be closed until January 6 in preparation for the Feast of the Black Nazarene. The church is set to reopen on January 7. Online masses, however, will continue.
