See you at WYD Seoul, which will happen exactly three years from now from August 3 to 8, 2027.
Just as the Jubilee of Youth ends, the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV announced the official date of the upcoming World Youth Day in Seoul.
During the Angelus, the Pope said:
"After this Jubilee, young people's pilgrimage of hope continues and will take us to Asia! I renew the invitation that Pope Francis extended in Lisbon two years ago: young people from around the world will gather together with the Successor of Peter to celebrate World Youth Day in Seoul, Korea, from August 3 to 8, 2027."
His Holiness added that the theme for the next WYD will be:
“Take courage! I have overcome the world!” (Jn 16:33)
The Jubilee of Youth gathered around a million young people from 146 countries in celebration of the Jubilee Year 2025. The event is often alluded to as a mini-World Youth Day, known for its festive and youthful atmosphere. The young pilgrims gathered at St. Peter’s Basilica, Circus Maximus, and Tor Vergata, where Saint John Paul II joined two million young people for the 15th World Youth Day in the Jubilee Year 2000.
