The Filipino Catholic channel dedicated to the Blessed Mother Mary is not just growing — it's soaring!
Twenty years ago, the dream of proclaiming the Good News was a tender shoot. Now, it has blossomed into a powerful, multifaceted ministry reaching countless souls.

TV Maria's journey from its groundbreaking start in January 2006 as the first-ever satellite provider dedicated to the Church, to its current standing, is a testament to unwavering faith and God’s grace. Overseen by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines and managed by the Archdiocese of Manila, TV Maria has expanded its reach, partnering with major cable providers like Sky Cable and CIGNAL TV.

Leading to the Fullness of Life: The Unstoppable Mission
Like Mary, our Mother, TV Maria carries a singular, burning desire: to bring every Filipino closer to God and to the fullness of life. This mission is not a gentle invitation—it’s a battle cry that courses through every program and event, embodying the powerful, magnetic slogan: “Leading you to the fullness of life!”
The channel’s evolution has been nothing short of spectacular. Beyond compelling talk shows and documentaries, TV Maria has become the trusted source for the most significant moments of faith. Viewers are seamlessly brought into the heart of the Church’s life through live broadcasts of Holy Masses, Liturgical celebrations, and pivotal events like Holy Week, Easter, Advent, and Christmas. From the massive coverage of the Traslacion in Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo, and the profound global significance of the Papal Visit in 2015, TV Maria has consistently delivered seamless, professional live broadcasts.
This commitment required a bold leap: embracing the title of being the official live broadcast provider for the Filipino Catholic Church. This decision, monumental in its technical and financial scope, was fueled by the conviction found in John 10:10:
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full, despite of life's challenges, we are all in this holding on to the message that God is with us.”
Believing that God is with them through every challenge, TV Maria has bravely faced the future, transforming every hurdle into a stepping stone to fulfill its divine mission.
The Unstoppable Current: A Global Family of Faith Partners
The mission is not just carried alone, mindful of the words from Galatians 6:2: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
The mission to spread the Good News requires more than just a broadcast signal — it demands a network of hearts united by a singular purpose!
Over the years, the remarkable growth of the channel's partners — whom we fondly call "The TV Maria Family" — has become a testament to the power of shared vision.
It started with a crucial, courageous handful who first answered the call, laying the foundational pillars for media evangelization: trailblazers like Jesuit Communications, Family Rosary Crusade, Kerygma TV, St. Pauls Audiovisuals to name a few. They were the pioneers who helped carry the vital mission of media broadcast in its earliest days.
But that was just the beginning!
A Surge of Solidarity: Local and Regional Expansion
As the years rolled forward, the family experienced a powerful surge in solidarity, welcoming a vast array of new members. Dynamic Filipino partners such as Radio Veritas, The Manila Cathedral and Cyberguardians joined the ranks, bringing fresh voices and innovative outreach.
This momentum quickly broadened to include key commemorative partnership with Dominus Est, Limang Siglo, Catholic Mass Media awards (CMMA), Daughters of St. Paul etc. and most crucially, secured the foundational backing of numerous Archdioceses and Dioceses across the Philippines. This expansive local support ensured that the message was rooted deep within every community.
Crossing Borders: The Global Partnership Breakthrough
The biggest leap? TV Maria didn't stop at the shoreline. The channel strategically ventured onto the international stage, forging alliances that rocketed its reach and content quality. We are now thrillingly connected to global giants like the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), the globally-focused Shalom World, and Signis Asia.
This is a true testament of the unfolding blueprint for a media revolution of faith! With every new partner, the channel's impact multiplies exponentially, promising a future where the message of hope touches every corner of the earth.
Pananampalatayang May Panlasang Pinoy: A Taste of Authentic Faith
Just like a thriving child, the ministry refuses to settle; it is constantly growing and moving forward. Complacency is the enemy. Recognizing the need to connect deeper and wider, TV Maria has embarked on exciting new ventures. The focus has shifted: the channel doesn't just want to be seen as a TV Channel, but to be a mirror where viewers see themselves and their authentic faith reflected.
What resonates with the Filipino heart? Authentic stories! Every program passionately strives to uncover the rich, relatable stories of Filipinos from all walks of life—their triumphs, their struggles, their enduring faith. This approach assures viewers that the channel's heartbeat is not just about its programming, but primarily about them.
Breaking Barriers: The Digital Leap
Understanding that the viewing landscape is rapidly changing, TV Maria has made a powerful, definitive jump into the digital realm. To serve its user base, the channel has strategically amplified its reach by featuring high-quality content on both traditional TV and various online platform: on Facebook, Youtube, even on international platforms like EWTN.
This crucial expansion ensures that the life-giving message of faith is not confined to Metro Manila, but is accessible to Filipinos in every province and country around the world. The future is bright, and the mission is clear: TV Maria is on the move, carrying the torch of faith and delivering the fullness of life to a waiting world for 20 years and beyond.
