The Feast of the Santo Niño was joyfully and colorfully celebrated at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Abu Dhabi, as devotees gathered in faith, thanksgiving, and festive spirit, especially among the Filipino community.

Bishop Paolo Martinelli joined the celebration and delivered a special message for the feast. In his homily, he emphasized that while Filipinos first arrived in Abu Dhabi as migrants, they are now called to be “missionaries of hope,” witnessing to their faith through their lives and service.

Also present at the celebration was the Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Fr. Chito Bartolo, OFM Cap.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Fr. Troy De Los Santos, OFM Cap., who expressed gratitude for the active participation of the faithful.

After the Mass, the celebration continued with a vibrant cultural presentation by various Santo Niño devotees through the Sinulog Mardi Gras Ritual Presentation, showcasing the deep devotion, joy, and rich Filipino heritage.

The event served as a meaningful reminder of the strong faith of the Filipino people and the Church’s continuing mission to bring hope to all, wherever they may be.
