On February 2, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) released a copy of the “Litany of Gratitude after the COVID-19 Pandemic" to be prayed in all masses starting February 11 to February 22 (Ash Wednesday).
This prayer is to replace the Oration Imperata against Covid-19 that was first released in January 2020 and eventually was revised in February 2021.

As of writing and according recorded data, there are already 671 million cases and 6.84 million deaths worldwide while 4 million cases come from the Philippines with 65,802 deaths. The country's weekly positivity rate is at 1.8% which is significantly below the 5% benchmark by the World Health Organization to declare that the coronavirus is already under control.
